My Once In A Lifetime Interview
with "Weird Al" Yankovic - November 2000

I was quite surprised to find out that many Weird Al fan sites still link to my now legendary interview (legendary because I was so star struck and nervous that it was practically a train wreck and total disaster). The old site was so horribly out of date and hadn't been updated since I initially put it up there back in November of 2000.

It seemed only appropriate though that I move the site to a server that could support the size and bandwith of the interview, so here you go!

The Backstory: When I was a junior in high school, I found out that Weird Al would be performing at our high school auditorium, which in reality is a 2,500 seat theater that has hosted top music and comedy acts ranging from Barry Manilow, to Jessica Simpson, to George Carlin, to David Copperfield. I was also on the high school cable show, Monthly Rewind. So I personally arranged to bring Weird Al to the television studio above the theater lobby and conduct an interview. It is a true testiment to my incredibly fragile nerves at the time. Regardless, Al was very understanding and kind to me about the ordeal.

Below you can view the specific items, such as the edited segment for Monthly Rewind, 3 spot promos Al did, and a photo gallery from that night. They are old and date back quite a bit, but nostalgic and fun. I hope you enjoy them!
